Noosa's Happy Pops Now In Brisbane

Brisbanites will soon be getting this award-winning Noosa favourite with the launch of Happy Pops at South Bank. First opening on Hastings Street in May 2018, Happy Pops is a premium artisanal gelato and sorbet using natural Australian ingredients hand-crafted with the gelato pasteurised and infused at the time of creation (not infused afterwards), to ensure maximum flavour.

The menu includes a range of signature kid pops and pre-made premium pops ($7) such as 'Hokey Pokey' made with homemade Australian honey honeycomb, topped with Belgium chocolate and homemade caramel sauce. There's also the 'Fruit Pavlova' with homemade pavlova, vanilla gelato, Belgium white chocolate, freeze-dried raspberries and real passionfruit.

Happy Pops took out silver in the category for Ice Cream & Gelato for their 'Fruit Pavlova' (silver being the highest ranking in this class) and also a gold for gelato (a non-animal milk product) for their 'Coconut Yoghurt & Raspberry at the 2019 Royal Queensland Food & Wine show.

Open seven days a week from 10 am daily, the new Brisbane shop opens on 15th August. Website: www.happypops.com.au

Custard Canteen (Gold Coast) opens December!

Calling all Gold Coaster's – you can forget about that 'summer bod' because there's a new pastry haven coming your way! The dream team from Mermaid's Bam Bam Bakehouse and founders of Paddock Bakery in Miami, Ursula and Ben Watts, have commenced construction on Custard Canteen at Tallebudgera Creek. Formerly known as Neptune Kiosk (adjacent to the stunning Tallebudgera Creek) dished up tasty bites like bacon and egg rolls, almond croissants and darn good coffee. Custard Canteen's menu is still under wraps, but Gold Coast locals and visitors alike can expect to be treated to a mouth-watering array of baked goods with the new venue set to open in December this year. Website: https://www.custardcanteen.com/
